I would like to introduce Vaughn. We photographed his parents wedding a few years ago and we were so thrilled and excited for them when they told us the big news about the pregnancy.
In the last photo he looks just like a little mini me of his dad-spitting image.
We did the photo session at their house and had a lot of fun. During one of the shots both Matt & Kyla were holding him up in the air and he started to pee and I didn’t yell cut because the shots I got of the flying pee was a hoot. And we all laughed about it for a long time.

Sarah & Doug were married in Boulder at The Calvary Bible Church and had the reception at The Chateaux at Fox Meadow.
The day was pretty warm but the cloud cover cooled it down in the later afternoon.
I loved Sarah’s dress-check out the back of it-how beautiful.
That’s the ring bearer with the mohawk. His dad was the best man. When I saw the mohawk for the first time I just had to touch it-with permission of course! It looked so cool.
Congratulations Doug & Sarah- we wish you all the best!

Nick & Kelly are highschool sweethearts who now live in California. A few days before the wedding we did their engagement photos in Boulder at the CU campus. We got some killer photos despite the heat and humidity.
Their ceremony & reception was held at the Inverness Hotel just south of Denver Colorado. The day was beautiful and very warm.
I just love that photo of Nick by himself. Before the ceremony they were waiting by themselves in the billards room. I was in the corner photographing the bouquet and trying to be inconspicuous.
It’s one of those images that after I shot it I knew that it was going to be a favorite of mine!
These two are so nice, down to earth and impossibly gorgeous-we wish them all the best!!

Ashley and Zach were married at Trinity United Methodist Church in downtown Denver and the reception was held at the Mount Vernon Country Club on top of Lookout Mountain just outside downtown Golden Colorado.
Ashley’s dress was amazing with the corseted top and beaded skirt. She looked incredible!
The weather that day was perfect. While we were photographing the bridal party on the steps by the courtyard a firetruck was going by and was in the background of the shots. Normally we would wait for the truck to pass so it wouldn’t be in the background. But since Zach is a fireman it was so cool and serendipitous that a firetruck would come by at the same time as the photo shoot.
We wish Ashley & Zach all the best!!

Laura & Ben were married just outside Breckenridge Colorado at Sapphire Point, which overlooks Lake Dillon. The view is breathtaking. Absolutely worth a site seeing trip if you’ve never been there before.
They made the trip from Texas for the ceremony and a small reception in Breckenridge with a handful of family and friends. The big reception was back home the following weekend.
The day started out with dark skies and cooler weather and we all thought that it would rain. But by the time the ceremony happened it was perfect weather, just the right amount of wind and nice cloud cover.
We had a blast working with them and wish them all the best!!

You know, it really warms my heart that although we are in Colorado my family refers to going to see a game at Coor’s field (where the Rockies play ball) as “going to a Cub’s game”.
The Cub’s came into town this past weekend and as methodical as the swallows returning to Capistrano, we donned our caps and made our pilgrimage to the ballpark; and until our own joyful return to the friendly confines of Wrigley field, Coor’s field serves as an excellent surrogate. It was a beautiful day for a ballgame full of home runs, a grand slam, and a base clearing-game winning double!
But the finest moments were sharing the day with family at the ballpark. A place where generations have come together with no gaps, all speaking the same language and sharing the same dream.
To my grandfather who never missed a game, whether sitting in the stands or tuning it in on tv or radio,
To my dad who taught me the game and never missed an opportunity to take me to one,
and to my son, a fourth generation Cub fan, may you someday never have to say “wait ’til next year”

Oliver enjoying the playground at Coor’s Field before the game.

All this place needs is a bed and I may never leave.

Oliver sitting by the windows looking out over the field at the pre-game festivities.

Scanning the crowd, Arne Harris would have been proud. (Cub’s fans will get that reference)

Waiting for a glimpse of Legend Ron Santo; really wishing Harry was still with us.

Catching the action with mom.

Ask me in 30 years about my fondest memories.

The perfect end to a perfect day at the ballpark
