Michelle & Doug

Michelle & Doug’s wedding festivities were held in Boulder, Colorado. The day started with me photographing the women getting ready at the St. Julien hotel. This is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day-photographing the women getting ready. Lots of emotion, energy and meaningful moments. Love it!

The beauty of having 2 photographers is that while I’m in with the women- Eric is usually with the guys and photographing guests, details and such at the same time.

The ceremony was held on the grounds in front of the library on the CU campus and was touching and beautiful.

The reception was at The Stadium club at Folsom Field. The view from the room overlooked the football field, the campus and the mountains. During the cocktail hour they had their love story video playing on the jumbotron at Folsom field. Everyone got a kick out seeing the video playing outside.

They had both Chris Daniels AND the fabulous Hazel Miller playing at the reception. Which means that alot of people were dancing alot of the time!

We wish Michelle & Doug all the best!!

Joey

09/15/2006   Filed under Babies & Families, Portraits • Written by Terri @ 5:13 PM

About a month ago or so I got a call from Dan- we shot his and Mary’s wedding several years ago. Their anniversary was coming up and he wanted to get Mary a gift certificate for a portrait session. Mary was suprised and excited about the photo shoot.

The photos were taken at their house. All my photo shoots are either on location or at clients homes.

Joey is already trying to walk at the tender age of 10 months and was very energetic at times. He is absolutely adorable-look at that smile.

The photo of Joey by the tub is a shining example of why I love to photograph at homes instead of the studio. First of all-how cute is that photo! Secondly -Mary’s late father laid that tile for Dan & Mary in the bathroom and the meaning of having that tile and her son together in that photo is priceless and meaningful to them.

Hadrian & family

Chapter 1 Bronwen/June 20, 2006 blog entry
Chapter 2 Hadrian birth story/July 10, 2006 blog entry
Chapter 3 Hadrian & family

I love, love, love photographing babies-look at that sweet face and tiny hands and feet.

Because we have been friends with this family for a gazillion years or so, Oliver came along with me and played with Hadrian’s big brother Goran. Which ended up being a really great thing-because Goran wanted nothing to do with photos that day and Oliver helped with the comic relief and got a few smiles out of Goran.

Even though Goran was less than excited to be a part of the photo session- the photos really show who he is right now. That’s why I really love doing what I do- life goes by so fast and these fleeting moments in time can be captured and become a part of this families history-forever. It’s pretty amazing.

Michele & John

09/01/2006   Filed under Weddings • Written by Terri @ 9:13 PM

Michele & John were married at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder.

The ceremony was to be outside in the courtyard with the flatirons in the backyard. But the rain came down and the ceremony was moved to the lobby by the fireplace. The ceremony was beautiful and moving, and was officiated by Michele’s brother.

They both have such a great sense of humor and are alot of fun to be around.
We had a lot of laughs during the portrait session of just the two of them!

We wish John & Michele all the best!
