Carrie & Brian

Filed under Family • Written by Eric

On October 21, 2006 my friend Brian married his love Carrie on a day I can only describe as nothing short of spectacular.

After having been present at hundreds of weddings as a photographer, I can say without question that this one is the most cherished for me and the one I had been waiting for with the most anticipation. And to make it even more special, Brian gave me the honor and pleasure of being one of his groomsmen.

It was a beautiful fall afternoon in Chicago, leaves were falling and the weather cooperated only in a way that Brian and Carrie could have orchestrated themselves. Their ceremony was held at Notre Dame de Chicago’s Parish in the heart of Little Italy and the reception was held at the magnificent LaStrada’s Top of the Plaza. Before the reception, the bridal party was treated to a ride up to the north side of Chicago to participate in a photo shoot inside Wrigley Field (truly magical).

Leaving my cameras at home was a strange feeling at first but I did manage to take a few shots with the point-and-shoot camera I brought along (you didn’t think I was actually going to be totally empty handed did you?).

It was at this point when I overheard someone say
“You’re not Mr. Purple, somebody from another
job’s Mr. Purple. You’re Mr. Pink.”

As Carrie arrives at the Church, one can only wonder “how did Brian get so lucky?”

One of the highlights of the weekend for me was finally getting to meet this girl.

Lindsay & Jared

Lindsay & Jared were married at The Falling Creek Country Club of the Rockies In Edwards Colorado. The place is beautiful and the views were amazing.

Earlier in the week there was an early snowstorm in the mountains. When we left early that morning from Denver we weren’t sure what the weather was going to be like outside of Beavercreek. The weather forecast for another snowstorm.

It ended up being a nice day-no snow but pretty darn cold. Lindsay was a TROOPER during the portrait session. Since the area was so gorgeous she braved the cold in her strapless gown so we could shoot outside.

We wish them all the best!!!
