Anjali was photographed last weekend in Denver at the new Northfield Mall in Stapleton. I love this place!
All these photos were taken with just using natural light. The fun & challenging part of shooting outside is to find the light.
Sometimes the killer backgrounds have horrible light and can’t be used because it means that the subject will be facing the sun, which causes squinting and funky shadows on the face & clothing.
For me, I prefer to photograph on a cloudy day over a sunny sky -any day.
Cloudy days are like having a huge softbox as my light source-it opens up my shooting space.

Oliver tested and earned his new rank of Orange Belt in the art of Kempo Karate this week.
It’s no secret how proud we are of him but what is really fascinating is seeing the pride he has in himself and of his accomplishments. He has been working very hard toward this achievement both externally and internally. It has been a joy to see the progress with his physical growth as well as his developing a greater awareness of himself.
The images below show some moments from the test. After the testing Oliver kneels down and meditates on what he has learned and what he has discovered about himself during his path toward his orange belt. While still meditating he is told to take off his old belt and put it behind him. He then opens his eyes to see his new belt, which he picks up and wipes off his brow with before putting it on. This symbolizes the hard work and sweat that went into receiving his new rank.

Jordan also has alot of experience in front the camera like his brother Nathan. He was a trooper when the temp dropped towards the end of the day.
Check out his beautiful baby blue eyes!

We shot these at the new Stapleton shopping center in Denver last weekend in between the snowy and cold days we’ve been having for the last few months.
The mall has all these walls that have a great selection of colors to use as backgrounds, some muted and some bright & vibrant colors. These were all shot outside using only natural light.
Nathan has quite a bit of experience in front of the camera and was great to photograph. Check out his gorgeous lashes and killer dimples!

Skye already is an experienced model at the ripe old age of 8. The session last weekend was to update her comp card for her talent agency in Denver. She is a doll and believe it or not-a little on the shy, quiet side and loves doing this. The last look we did included her riding her bike and she was looking forward to this the whole shoot!

Finally after almost 8 weeks of snow, we had some warm days last weekend!
This is Logan- he is 5 years old and already an experienced model. What a sweet, sweet boy with a charming personality. His mom is an actress in Denver and is very supportive of his desire to be in front of the camera. Funny thing is that his mom is a blond and the chances of him actually being cast as her son is pretty slim. Isn’t that a hoot!

The first time I photographed Vaughn he was just 2 weeks old and tiny & wrinkly. Now at 6 months he has filled out and has the most beautiful eyes! Check out his newborn photos that were posted on August 31st.
We photographed his parents wedding and just love working with them, they are wonderful people!
Dontcha just love that red wall-it’s so cool!

These boudoir photos were taken just a few days ago at Bride X’s house. They are a Valentine’s Day gift to her hubby-hence no name or face shown.
The session was fabulous and there are so many killer images-these are the only ones that will be public. The rest are for his eyes only.
We had snow coming down all day. I mean alot of snow, and it was very cold. So now that I’ve emphasized the cold & snow-that middle shot was taken by an open door. Yep, an open door on a cold, snowy day, wearing a skimpy nightgown. She was great about it, and got a kick out of seeing my breath while I was photographing her-and I was inside the house.
I think Hubby X is going to love the images!
