Jarod met me early on a Saturday morning in the Belmar area of south Denver for his photo session.
The light and temp were perfect that day.
He is an actor and radio personality in Denver. He has a great sense of humor and reminds me alot of Jim on “The Office”
Except with curly hair.

Elijah had these taken for his model comp card. Oh my-what a cutie pie!!
These were taken in the Belmar area of south Denver. The day these were taken just happened to be the same day as the Italian festival taking place at the Belmar shopping center.
Even though there were booths set up everywhere, crowds of people and all you could smell was the pizza (yummy)
he was a pro. Nothing really distracted him from the photo shoot. Not even the pizza.
His doting grandparents were the ones who made all the arrangments for the session and were both there that day. They are such wonderful loving people and look young enough to be his parents!
His grandpa was doing his best to make him laugh at times!

Michael is an actor in Denver. We shot the long sleeved shirt look at the Northfield Mall in Stapleton.
Just as we had finished the first look and he was changing oufits the storm clouds rolled in really fast. The wind picked up and we had to bag the second look till the next afternoon.
By the time I said my goodbyes and got into the car- the rain was pouring down. Man- was I glad that the camera was safely tucked away in my camera bag in the trunk and not out in the thunderstorm.

Sean & Meredith were married at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs.
The day was beautiful and they were so calm, cool and collected. Not bad considering that when they flew in from out of state on the Thursday before the wedding, their plane was over 5 hours late.
That meant that our engagement session wasn’t going to happen along with many other last minute details that needed to be taken care of that day.
They had a wonderful coordinator(Char Hein of Everlasting memories by Char) and family to help them out.
The day was beautiful and the ceremony very touching.
Sean was pulled on stage during the reception and given an instrument (silver metal thingie on his chest) to play-it was awesome to watch.

These sisters had these photos taken for their model comp cards. Aren’t they so adorable : )
I love the photo of the 2 of them back to back with the pout and then the big ole smiles.
We shot these in the Belmar area-which is one of favorite places for taking these kinds of photos.
The mall has these huge walls with so many bright colors to choose from, then there are a couple of parks really close by. Perfect for photographing the kids.
They drove down from Vail for the session. The weather alternated between sunshine, clouds, rain and wind. We took a few more weather breaks than usual, but the results are fabulous!

Christina & Gavin were married in Highlands Ranch and had their reception at the the Inverness Hotel in south Denver.
Christina has such a great sense of humor and playfulness. Check out the Charlies Angels fun photo!
They met while working at an Apple store and their parting gifts to their guests were Apple store gift cards. And no- I have no idea of the gift card amount : )
The signage by the gift cards:
Our love began at the Apple Store
Thank you for being a part of the core
We are grateful to share a slice with you.

Jonathon had these taken for his model comp cards. Wow-what a handsome kid and a natural in front of the camera.
This boy is only 7 , sweet, smart and has beautiful baby blues. Yep, his parents should expect the girls to start calling in about 5 years : )

Liz & Tom were married in Lake Forest, Illinois and had their reception at the Lake Forest Country Club.
It was a beautiful, overcast day. The reception was fun and quite a swanky affair.
There was a little girl about 9 years old that stole the show on the dance floor. She was a blast and held her own with the adults dancing. They even did a circle dance around her at one point to showcase her talents.

Laura & Mike were married in Beaver Creek, Colorado. I smile when I think of these two!
Their reception was a blast! Mike and his fellow Chief Petty Officers are a hoot. They danced like I have never seen a group of men dance! They had a blast-along with all of us watching them.
The DJ brought out a box filled with props for the guys to wear. He didn’t have a clue that these guys would tear up the floor with these costumes. It was hilarious to watch them.
I love the photo of Laura smiling and so excited for the ceremony to begin. Love it!

It’s been a busy, crazy summer. We have neglected our blog for a long time, but have just started to catch up with posting our weddings & portrait sessions.
And yes, mom-if you are reading this-we will be posting more current photos of Oliver as well! I promise.
There have also been some big changes with the Ropers and with Roper Photo.
But I’m not telling yet. I’m going to be a tease and make you wait until we catch with the blog and everything else ; )
