These two were married this summer in Lafayette, Indiana. The day was almost perfect, not too hot, windy or humid-with just enough cloud cover to make the photographers happy!
We started out at the First Christian Church where Eric hung out with the guys and I went the women. After they were dressed and before the ceremony, we headed out for some photos with just the two of them.
Nick waited on the bridge where they had their first date many years ago, and kept his back to Niki as she walked up to meet him. Then as she got close he turned around and they saw each other for the first time-it was quite special to watch!
Those are the 2 photos below the ring shot.
The reception was held at Debbie’s Catering, also in Lafayette. That Mustang in some of the phots was the car Nick drove on their very first date-in high school. How sweet, romantic and sentimental is that.
We have really enjoyed getting to know them and wish them all the best!!

I shot this wedding just this past Saturday in the Chicagoland area, and started out her parents house. Even though it was freezing outside-there was lots of love & warmth in the house.
The ceremony was at St Paul of the Cross in Park Ridge. The church is one of those huge impressive Catholic Churches with lovely stained glass. Natalie & Bill were just so excited to be married that you couldn’t help but smile throughout the ceremony and be so happy for them.
The guys were troopers and braved the very, very cold temps for some photos outside the church. We literally took about 6-8 minutes to do their photos and then headed back to the warm church to thaw out. The photo of Bill was taken during this short session.
See the photo of them outside during the confetti toss-it was 13 degrees outside. And then look for several of the bridesmaids-none of them had on coats yet. They must be true friends. I was bundled up in winter coat and had gloves on and I was frozen afterwards. They did run to the limo shortly after this photo was taken.
The reception was held at Biagios a few miles away in Chicago. The lobby of the place is fabulous and has these cool funky couchs. From what I could see-everyone had a blast at the reception. It was like a 200+ family reunion.

A couple of days ago Megan sent me this trailer for a film she is in, and that was also made in Denver. Turns out the young girl is Quinn, and I photographed her earlier this year. She was in the midst of the filming when we had her session. It was so cool to see the trailer with little Quinn-she reminds me of Dakota Fanning.
I am sooo excited for Megan and Quinn and everyone else involved with the film. Break a leg guys!
Here is the email that was sent to me:
