Lindsay & Jared’s album

Check out their album: Lindsay & Jared

The original blog post is below:

Lindsay & Jared were married at The Falling Creek Country Club of the Rockies In Edwards Colorado. The place is beautiful and the views were amazing.

Earlier in the week there was an early snowstorm in the mountains. When we left early that morning from Denver we weren’t sure what the weather was going to be like outside of Beavercreek. The weather forecast for another snowstorm.

It ended up being a nice day-no snow but pretty darn cold. Lindsay was a TROOPER during the portrait session. Since the area was so gorgeous she braved the cold in her strapless gown so we could shoot outside.

We wish them all the best!!!

Sarah & Doug’s album

Sarah & Doug’s album

Check out their album. I Love it!

Original blog post below:

Sarah & Doug were married in Boulder at The Calvary Bible Church and had the reception at The Chateaux at Fox Meadow.

The day was pretty warm but the cloud cover cooled it down in the later afternoon.

I loved Sarah’s dress-check out the back of it-how beautiful.

That’s the ring bearer with the mohawk. His dad was the best man. When I saw the mohawk for the first time I just had to touch it-with permission of course! It looked so cool.

Congratulations Doug & Sarah- we wish you all the best!

Nick & Niki

Filed under Album,Weddings • Written by Terri

We just finished designing an engagement album from Nick & Niki’s engagement session. Nick & Niki’s album

They are getting married this summer in Indiana. I am really looking forward to the wedding-I know it’s going to be beautiful and a whole lot of fun!!

Nick & Niki met me on Sunday in Downtown Downers Grove. It was supposed to be a balmy 47 degrees and I bet it didn’t get above 35 degrees. Brrrrrrrrrrr…

Yowzers-it was cold, very cold. Niki & Nick were great and willing to go coatless for the photos-not me I kept my coat on the whole time : )

Because I am blessed with having the magnificant outdoor locations of Colorado and now the Chicagoland areas for my location sessions I usually am outside buildings-not inside for most engagement sessions.
With the weather being so cold we used more inside locations for this shoot and I loved it. We had to- I felt it would be torturous to keep them outside for any length of time.

We used Starbucks ( and had people wondering what was going on-until they saw me with the camera), the train station and an Irish Pub. The natural light coming in through the windows was gorgeous.

Thanks guys for having such a great attitude on a cold day!

Meagan & Brett’s album

Filed under Album,Business,Weddings • Written by Terri

Check out Meagan & Brett’s engagement album.

We love designing albums and considering just how many we have done over the last couple of months-that is a really good thing. LOL.

I LOVE Chicago!

There are so many fabulous places for photographs. Any place you go can make for a wonderful backdrop.

The photo taken in the middle of the street was pretty wild-I was laying on my stomach on the median-getting the best angle, with the traffic coming from behind me on my right side. I could feel and hear the whoosh of the cars going by. Crazy, I know, but you gotta do what you gotta do to get the best stuff. : )

After we did that series I ran along ahead of them and wanted to get them crossing the street. Of course the yellow taxi ended up blocking the crosswalk, their path and my shot. So I used the taxi prominately in the shot and love how it turned out.

Brett & Meagan were so much fun and open to going for something different with their engagement photos. The resulting images from their session are amazing!

Their coordinator is Denise Pape from Weddings by Denise.

Callie & James

We finalized the design on James & Callie’s wedding album. Check it out.

These guys are so cool, fun and gorgeous to boot! They made our job so easy.

Here is their initial blog post:

Callie & James were married in Boulder and had their reception at the Omni Interlocken Hotel just outside of Boulder.

They were surrounded by family & friends that were very loving, supportive and just so excited for them.

One of their bridesmaids wrote a song for them and sang it during the ceremony. It was one of those moments that I will remember for a very long time. It was so moving & touching that there was hardly a dry eye while she sang.

Yes, I admit it-the song made me cry as well!

During the reception James and his posse surprised Callie with a choregraphed dance number-it was a hoot!
