Bar Mitzvah for Noah

Filed under Mitzvah • Written by Terri

Early on a Thursday morning I met Noah and his family at the Central Avenue Synagogue in Highland Park for his Bar Mitzvah rehearsal. Along with the rehearsal was the morning prayer. It was fascinating to watch, as the men wore the tefillin, while the women were separated from them by a curtain. You could feel the joy in the room when the women were dancing!!

We met again on Saturday night for his celebration. The party was fun, and had a psychic for the entertainment. He was really good, and the crowd was mesmerized by his accuracy.

Last year Alyssa’s Bat Mitzvah won an Icon Gala Award for Best Overall Event. Colorado expression Magazine and Confetti Magazine put on the award ceremony.

Char Hein of Everlasting Memories by Char was the Coordinator. We knew all the hard work and planning that was involved with making her day so incredibly special and we were thrilled that it was honored with the award.

Alyssa’s Bat Mitzvah was amazing. The daytime party was an underwater theme, there was a couple of henna artists, caricature artists, a sunken ship and bread sticks that looked like coral!! And how could I forget -the 2 chocolate fountains.

And the night time party was at The Island. The place had been transformed into a tropical island, it was absolutely amazing. Tiki torches everywhere, beach huts for the food, incredible lighting and did I mention that it was on tons of sand. Princess DJ was at the helm for the dancing-she got the party started!!

We have to give LMD Productions a shout out for the incredible lighting design.

Alyssa’s Bat Mitzvah

The first time I met Alyssa(a few years ago) I was blown away by how mature she was-she was 10. One of those kids who while talking to them you forget they are kids. Now she is a young lady and still mature, creative and decisive.

Her bat Mitzvah was amazing. The daytime party was an underwater theme, there was a couple of henna artists, caricature artists, a sunken ship and bread sticks that looked like coral!! And how could I forget -the 2 chocolate fountains.
