We shot these photos for Keiana’s model comp card in the Belmar area of Denver. The day was beautiful, though a little windy. It’s great when I can use the wind to my advantage, and her hair blows back perfectly.
One of my favorites is the musician look in the parking garage. Nice mix of attitude, outfit, accessories and atmosphere!

It has been great to get to know and photograph Taryn, her sister Lexie and their little brother Jonathon. They are all great kids and each have their own distinct personality. Though they differ in personality they are all sweet, kind, smart and all have a great sense of humor and an incredible sense of style.
We shot these in the warehouse district of Denver, and drove around until we found the building with the face & lips painted on the front. The building housed a motorcycle shop, and all around us were motorcycles upon motorcycles. It was a hoot.
Taryn is a natural in front of the camera!

I have photographed her little brother a couple of times and was looking forward to meeting Lexie and her sister Taryn for their sessions. We met in the warehouse district of Denver and found some really fabulous backgrounds for the photos.
I love these photo and how her eyes pop. That’s not photoshop-that’s really how her eyes look!
She is as sweet and nice as she looks.

Nicole and I first meet a couple of years ago at an Association of Bridal Consultants meeting in the Chicagoland area.. We bonded immediately as we had one big thing in common-we had both recently moved to Illinois from other states. Nicole from Minnesota and me from Colorado. I had been back a few months and Nicole had been here barely a month I think.
We shot these in Wrigleyville on a beautiful spring day. I LOVE how these turned out, and my favorite is the first one. With the others as a close second.
Nicole is awesome, and is a wedding planner with a great eye for detail and style:

Maria looks fabulous-especially for being pregnant with twins! Can’t you just feel the love and warmth between the two of them : )
We wish them and their girls all the best!

We shot these very early in the morning at the Indian Dunes. It was a beautiful day, and I was so impressed with Jaime’s willingness to walk up the dunes, and try anything. It can be strenuous to walk up those sand hills- especially being pregnant with twins. Doesn’t she look awesome!!!
They are both so warm and friendly, and we had a lot of fun that day.
We wish them and the girls all the best!!

The first time I photographed the boys was about a year and a half ago. Here is the blog post from that session: roperphoto.com/caron-ahman
It was fun to see them again, especially to see how much they’ve changed in that time. They looked the same only older. If that makes sense : )
Caron is just as energetic as ever, still loving those long lashes. Ahman is the quieter of the two by a long stretch, but knows how to turn it on when the camera is on him.
The first time around they were new to the talent business, and this time, after many jobs and auditions-they knew just what to do to get the best photos.
It is so awesome to watch these kids bloom and grow over the years. I am so proud of them!

Last week we were in the Janie & Jack kids clothing store in The Bolingbrook Promenade.
For those not in the area-Bolingbrook is a suburb of Chicago. And if you haven’t visited a Janie & Jack store before, you must check them out. The clothes are gorgeous and very well made.
This was an in store promotion and we had 3 full days of photographing many, many kids from newborns to 6 years old.
As always, the 12-24 month olds are the most active, independant ones. We never really know if they will stand still or cooperate until they step onto the backdrop. I have a very fast trigger finger and can usually get some fabulous shots before they run off.
My heart always goes out to the parents as they always get much more stressed and tired than I do. LOL
Here are some of the images from the sessions.
Enjoy!

We shot her senior portrait session in the LODO area of Denver, using alleys, a hotel lobby, Union Station and a parking garage for backgrounds.
Then for the last outfit we headed out to the warehouse district for something different and found the perfect color on the side of a building that matched her outfit. What a great ending for a wonderful session!
