This out-of-state couple had their ceremony and reception at the 63rd Street Beach House in Chicago. It was a gorgeous day for a wedding!
Before the ceremony we took a party bus down Lake Shore drive and headed for the Planetarium. There were several stops along the way to some usual haunts for some fun photos with the bridal party.
When we were at the Planetarium we spotted a guy doing handstands a few feet away from us. He agreed to be in some photos showing off his technique. Not to be outdone, one of the groomsman showed off his skills as well! It was a hoot!
These guys were soooo much fun, the images on this blog are just a small sampling of the different things they did for me. It was obvious that they had all been best friends for many years, and they egged each other on throughout the day.
The night time was just the right temp, as they danced & partied in the open air venue.
We are blessed to have such fabulous couples, and wish them all the best!

A sneak peek from a portrait photo shoot last week in Naperville, Il. Thank you unseasonable December weather! This is a great example of why we love to go outside the studio and use the world as our backdrops.
Roper Photo. Photography for who you are, wherever you are!

Samantha and Keith lucked out on the day of their wedding, as the week before was rainy and cold. Their wedding day however was gorgeous!
The ceremony was at Resurrection Catholic Church in Wayne Illinois. After the moving exchange of vows we headed out to the St Charles Country Club. Amazing venue, decorations and very fun bridal party made the night incredible!
Not to mention the gorgeous bride, and handsome groom!!
We wish them all the best in their new life together, and we are honored to capture these moments of their wedding day : ) : )

We photographed Megan & Nat’s wedding on a blustery, snowy day. I was with the women and Eric with the guys. Normally there is more hustle and bustle with the female side than the guys. Not so on that winter day.
As you can see from the photo-one of the groomsman had a fender bender on the icy roads on the way to meet the guys. Luckily him and everyone else had a great sense of humor about the accident. No one was hurt!
The ceremony was held at St Tarcissus in Chicago. The setting and events were not only beautiful but very emotional-even for this photographer!
Afterwards we headed to Cafe La Cave in Des Plaines for the reception. They had Irish dancers perform for the guests, and even Megan danced the Irish step dance with her fellow dancers. She was awesome!
We wish them all the best!!
